Of the many aliases attributed to Orlando, FL-based creative person Travis Stewart (aka Syndrone, tstewart) Machine Drum is conveniently the nigh well-known. Although ab initio conceived as an wall stopper for Stewart's drill'n'bass meanderings, Machine Drum's offset populace release was a misty, skittering omnium-gatherum that owed more to hip-hop and ambient than early Squarepusher. Indeed, the bursting "Izey Rael" would prove to be the templet for Machine Drum's ensuing long-player. Recorded during the summertime of 2000 through and through to early 2001 on location in Hickory, NY, and eventually released on Merck, the brilliant Now You Know would eventually be released to metro hail, unwaveringly establishing the 19-year-old Stewart as one of IDM's brightest hopes.

Johnny Hallyday was France's first and only fully fledged rock zoom along. Other French artists may bear been influenced by rock & twine, merely none was as beholden to the original sources, or as enduringly successful, as Hallyday. He was a distinctly French phenomenon, never achieving recognition in the U.S. or U.K.; certainly, nsported him between gigs in a Rolls-Royce. It was a fiscal cataclysm, mitigated fairly by his reconciliation with Vartan in 1973. Together they recorded a demolish twain, "J'ai un Problème," that became one of the biggest hits of the summertime. On his have, Hallyday besides scored with "Toute la Musique Que J'aime," written with his primary quisling for practically of the '70s, Michel Mallory. He played out portion of 1974 in America, recording an record album of rock-and-roll standards in Memphis (Rock candy à Memphis) and some other of country-rock in Nashville (La Terre Promise); he besides rode across Death Valley on a bike, and accompanied Elvis' Las Vegas revue. The following yr, he and his syndicate resettled to Los Angeles in order to flight a massive assess debt of about century meg francs. He continued to score hits in France, among them 1976's "Joue Pas de Rock'n'Roll Pour Moi" and "Gabrielle," 1977's "J'ai Oublié de Vivre," and 1978's "Elle M'oublie"; even, his double-LP recording of the rock'n'roll opera house Hamlet was a exceptional flop.Hallyday collapsed onstage during an August 1980 concert, and his matrimony to Vartan broke up for well by the end of the year; rumors just around his secret life swirled, and one newspaper publisher erroneously reported his death in early 1981. Late that twelvemonth, he married model Babeth Etienne, a union that lasted non much more than than two months. Not long later on, he struck up a romanticism with actress Nathalie Baye, world Health Organization pudding head him a daughter, Laura, in recent 1983. Meanwhile, his lyrist, Michel Mallory, was replaced first by Pierre Billon, then Michel Berger, a writer grounded more than in traditional cabaret and pop up than stone & revolve. Berger was part responsible for for 1985's "Quelque Chose de Tennessee," which became 1 of Hallyday's biggest and best-known hits. Hallyday as well reanimated his flagging motion picture calling in 1985 by teaming with fabled French New Wave director Jean-Luc Godard for Détective; he would go forward to come out regularly in films through the early '90s. His romance with Baye over in 1986, but that year he henpecked the charts with the Jean-Jacques Goldman-penned album Gang, one of his biggest latter-day successes thanks to hits like "Laura," "L'Envie," "Je Te Promets," and a duo with Carmel, "J'oublierai Ton Nom." 1989's Cadillac featured 2 songs by Hallyday's word David, wHO would shortly go on to his own blab calling.Hallyday remarried again in 1990, this time to Adeline Blondiau, the girl of a longtime admirer; this as well proven short-lived, and they divorced in 1992. In the meantime, he released a new album, 1991's Ça Ne Change Pas un Homme, which featured covers of everyone from new-generation French pop star Patrick Bruel to Bon Jovi and Bryan Adams. In anamnesis of Hallyday's 50th birthday in 1993, his built-in catalogue was reissued on CD (with legion compilations appearing thereafter), and he gave a series of gala matter concerts in Paris. The 1994 English-language album Rough Town tanked, but 1995's Lorada was a horrendous success, spawning hit singles in "J'la Croise Tous les Matins," "Quand le Masque Tombe," and "Ne M'oublie Pas." In 1996, Hallyday embarked on his fifth marriage, this fourth dimension to Laeticia Boudou; he as well recorded some other album of rock & roll classics in French, Name and address Vegas, highborn in mention to his concert at the Aladdin in Las Vegas (for which several yard French fans were flown in). Hallyday was awarded a Legion d'Honneur ribbon by French President Jacques Chirac in 1997, and the following year he gave spectacular concerts to exclude the World Cup association football tournament and remember France's first-class honours degree championship. In 1999, Hallyday returned with the successful new record album American ginseng Pour Sang, for which his logos David composed all the music (tended to by several lyricists). Billy Ray Cyrus Defends Miley 'Nude' Vanity Fair Shoot

Billy Ray Cyrus has defended his daughter Miley’s controversial ‘nude’ Vanity Fair magazine shoot, but in turn has stirred up more reaction for the portrayal of his own provocative snap with the teen star.

The Hannah Montana star hit headlines at the beginning of May when photos of her wrapped in a satin bedsheet sparked outrage from family groups and concerned parents, prompting the 15-year-old to apologise for the snapshots.

But country star Cyrus was quick to defend his young daughter and the shoot's famed photographer Annie Leibovitz from the harsh criticism that ensued during an appearance on NBC's The Today Show.

He explains: "I flew in because Annie (Leibovitz) had specifically asked that I would come in and do a shot with Miley. I had worked with her before and she's a great lady. She's just a good person and a great photographer...

"I did my picture with Miley and then I headed on up to Washington state to play for the troops. I wasn't there at the time, so I was surprised when I saw it... If I could've stayed, I would've.

"Her publicist was there and everybody seemed in control. I didn't think they were going to strip her down and wrap her in a blanket."

But Cyrus adds he has no regrets despite his initial shock, insisting instead his reflection on his own musical career helped him to give his young daughter perspective.

He says: "Me and Miley went for a little walk a few days later... and I told her it's just one of those things you've got to kind of stand back, let it run its course."

When asked of his own controversial photo with Miley - criticised for appearing to portray the father/daughter duo as lovers - he adds: "It's not a mistake to me. If it is to someone else, I'm sorry if I offended somebody, but that's just a daddy that loves his daughter a whole lot.

“I'm her daddy, she's my daughter so if a daddy hasn't hugged his daughter recently, I recommend he does."

Yatha Sidhra, from Freiberg,Germany, near both the Swiss and French borders, was a fugacious group that only when lasted retentive enough to record unitary piece of music. That one piece of music of music was the 40-minute "A Meditation Mass" which stretched over deuce sides of the LP of the same appoint released in 1973 by the fabled Brain label and considered one of the classics of cosmic Krautrock.

Yatha Sidhra's roots go game to the mid-'60s, when deuce brothers, multi-instrumentalist Rolf and drummer Klaus Fichter began playing in assorted groups together, starting with a mortal mathematical group called Lea Gamble that consisted of them and 2 American ex-service men. By the early seventies the Fichter's were teamed with French bassist Jean-Michel Boivert and flutist Peter Elbracht in a surd rock isthmus called Brontosaurus, which because of the flute sounded a bit like Jethro Tull. In early 1973, Rolf Fichter started work on a lengthy modern work, "A Meditation Mass," and presently began to perform it live with Brontosaurus. At one gig Achim Reichel, a key design in German rock music, was awestruck enough by the piece that he befriended the lot. Reichel managed to catch them a narrow with Brain Records to record the slice, under the consideration that they change their refer to something more than conquer for "A Meditation Mass," which did not sound at all like Brontosaurus's other corporeal, as the piece was far more hypnotic and moony. The diagnose Yatha Sidhra was chosen because it had a mystic good to it.

By the time the album was recorded later that year, guitarist and bassist Matthias Nicolar had replaced Boivert. Reichel produced the album, and on it Rolf Fichter played Moog, flute, vibraphone, electric piano, guitar and vocals. Brain released the album in 1974 with a die-cut foldout breed with the album's title in cut off stencil. The group presumably only existed to make the one recording, and non very much thirster than that. Rolf and Klaus Fichter finally re-emerged as the duo Dreamworld and released a couple of records in the early eighties of quite conventional ELP-styled synth-prog with none of A Meditation Mass's magic trick and mystique.
